Product Testing
The Hymax® coupling is tested to a pressure of 390 psi, 1.5 times its rated working pressure. It accomodates angular deflection up to its rated 8° of total deflection while
operating at full pressure.
The EZ-MAX® is the only repair clamp that is tested to 1.5 times its gauranteed working pressure. It undergoes a 48-hour cold relaxation test. The clamp is pressurized and allowed to settle for 48-hours. The EZ-MAX® still works to its rated pressure of 150 psi after 48-hours, and the EZ-MAX® loses only 5 ft-lbs of torque. After the same test other repair clamps fail at only 70-100 psi and they lose 50% of their torque!
The Hydro-Flex® wrap-around repair coupling is also tested to 1.5 times its pressure rating, which ranges from 60 psi to 150 psi depending on the diameter. Even though the Hydro-Flex® goes on like a repair clamp, it accomodates deflection like no other repair product can. It is rated for 6° of total deflection so the pipe is free to flex and isn't stressed after the repair.
The convenience of 1-bolt per end makes the Hyjoint® dedicated-range coupling ideal for industrial applications. The Hyjoint® is tested to 1.5 times its liquid working pressure of 232 psi (14"-24") and 260 psi (2"-12") while accomodating up to 6° of total deflection. It is also tested to 1.5 times its rated pressure of 175 psi for non-combustible gas applications.
Every product design from Total Piping Solutions, Inc. is tested with a static-pressure test apparatus. An EZ-MAX® repair clamp is shown on a test apparatus above.
